We often receive the question: "Isn't Portfolio Management the same as Investment Planning?" The answer is "not exactly." The former focuses on how to design a portfolio and the latter focuses on actually implementing and managing what was designed.
When Gold Medal Waters is providing portfolio management to you, our advisors are responsible for buying, selling, and overseeing your investments. We coordinate your account setup and asset transfers, create your investment policies, select your investments and monitor those investments, rebalance your accounts, track preliminary tax information and help you prepare for any liqudation needs.
The overall goal is to bring cost-effective, institutional-quality, disciplined investment management to you...the individual investor. We do this by constructing portfolios using No-Load funds and Index funds from companies such as Dimensional Fund Advisors* and Fidelity.

To access their funds, DFA requires a minimum investment of $2,000,000 per holding. This requirement has been waived for clients of Gold Medal Waters, LLC.
